I reached over 60 BPM within a week. I have tried all the fretboard and notation learning apps, and this one is by far the most effective.

Im using this to learn the mandolin fretboard and i have to say it is the best app of this sort! Four different game types really make this entertaining. I particularly like the notation format, it gives you the note on the musical staff and you have to find it on the fretboard, very helpful for learning to read music in a fun and interesting way. Top notch app which i have no hesitation in recommending.
Clean interface. You are able to isolate the sections you are weak on and really drill them. Ive made more progress reading note position and identifying notes on the fretboard in 1 day than I did with a year of reading music books. A must have if you have zero short term retention memory like me. To the author, if you could make an app in the same vein that drilled songs I would certainly be first on the list to buy it.
On iPad mini cant click on right side
The G icon does not show up on iPad Pro 9.7". Since the answer to the second question is G you can use this app for less than one minute then you can not progress I want a refund.
....reading so far, very helpful.Bought another app on the same subject but this one is far much better than the rest.
It totally helps me recognize notes on the fretboard, and it was well worth the money. I know it works because I know Im acknowledging where I am on the FB when I play the guitar. The learning comes out in my playing when I least expect it, but I know it came from using this app. Great for quick downtime learning while waiting in line, waiting to pick up my kid, whatever. Easy to grab for a minute or waste a half hour with. Could it be better? Maybe, but it doesnt need to be. Its very useful as is. Those Ive recommended it to also find it quite useful. Fretboard knowledge: Its necessary, and knowledge is power. This makes learning the fretboard and notes on a staff easy, and I accept and appreciate the challenge. Im only going to get faster (and effortless) recognition by using it more, and Im stoked on that. All my frets are green and Im motivated to get to black (master). Well done.
This does not give you the notes that are needed to give the answer.
This is just what I needed....good games for learning, good stats for lessons good price....keep it up
Almost became muscle memory trying to beat the clock.
Its not to often you download an app and it does exactly what you want. This app worked as stated and is enjoyable to use. I would recommend it to any level of guitarist.
If youre a guitarist, and you own an iPhone, buy this app. Best $1.99 you will ever spend toward your guitar education. It has HUGELY improved my fretboard memorization.
The only app youll need for learning the notes on the guitar neck (bass neck, etc.), and the notes on the treble and bass clef, and which notes on the guitar (bass...) correspond with which notes on the treble and bass clef. I stumbled along trying to learn to read music for years and never got very good results for my efforts, but this app makes it a piece of cake, and fun to boot!
This app has everything you could want and more, this was easily one of the best $2 investments Ive ever made! Highly recommend!
Great app. Very simple to use! Worth the money
A perfect app that does exactly what its supposed to. What more can I say?
I am looking for feedback not test. It would be nice if screen showed fret, lines of music, and notes all together as an option. That way I might learn.
I use the 4 string bass mode, very handy app for reinforcing fretboard knowledge at work when im supposed to be doing other stuff.
This app is fantastic for any music student out there. Im having a hard time trying to memorize all those guitar notes and this is helping me a lot. Ill give it a 4 star and 2 suggestions: - A perspective and more realistic view of the fretboard would be nice - Some tips and tricks are welcome. i.e. this note can be played here and there
Can you add a six string bass?
